What we do

Motorsports Solutions has been serving the motorsports community since 1982. The company began very small-running West Coast Motorcycles and Watercraft.

Since 2002 the company has experienced tremendous growth acquiring five dealerships in the past four years.

MSS acts as a consulting firm for the dealerships, providing resources and new technologies to make all of their dealerships more efficient. MSS is known for being a smart and healthy organization-focusing on the results of thier high performance, but also on the people that have allowed them to be so successful. MSS is founded on the purpose of bringing fun and excitement into people's lives by selling, servicing and renting motorsports products and accessories and educating customers throughout the United States.

We begin with our Business Definition- What do we do?

In order to run successful dealerships it is important that everyone understands exactly what it is that we do. We stick to what we know we are good at!

 

Next, our Core Purpose- Why do we do what we do?

 

“To bring or add fun and excitement to people’s lives.”

 

When we talk about our core purpose you can see the faces of employees light up. They truly know that the industry that we are in adds a lot of fun & excitement to people’s lives. Everyone at one time or another has witnessed the excitement that comes over a customer’s face when they take delivery of their motorcycle whether it’s the first time or fifth time.

 

Core Values - What is it that is important to us and must be maintained at all cost? Everyone we hire must be Reliable, Committed, & possess a positive Attitude. Ask anyone in our dealerships about the acronym RCA and I can guarantee that you will get an ear full.

 

Reliable does not just mean coming to work on time everyday or never calling in sick. Don’t get me wrong, those are important but, what it really means is that you can be counted on to get the job done and getting it done in the most effective and efficient way possible without sacrificing our internal and external customer’s expectations.

 

Commitment to making decisions that are for the good of the company. This means making decisions that are in the best interest of the company and the dealership. Ultimately what committed comes down to is doing what is best for the customer. It is the way we sell ourselves, the dealership and build positive relationships.

 

Attitude is one that is of a positive nature. It is the building of healthy relationships both internally and externally. Internally meaning department to department and peer to peer. Externally would be building lasting relationships with our customers and the community.

 

Milestones

1988 — Purchase of Westcoast Powersports which sold Harley & metric motorcycles

 

1997 — Harley-Davidson of Naples opens

 

2000 — Harley-Davidson of Fort Myers opens

 

2002 — Purchase of Rocket Harley-Davidson

 

2003 — Purchase of Hilton Head Motorsports

 

2004 — The birth of Organizational Health occurs establishing the company’s blueprint

for success.

 

2005 — March: The purchase of Motorsports of Columbus

December: The purchase of Thunderbird Harley Davidson
